Guitar lessons yesterday... scales, scales and more fucking scales. Good stuff. By the way the guitar I'm currently playing is an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra. Here's a picture.
I just got this guitar off of Ebay. I'm always a little nervous about buying a guitar that i haven't played, but this one turned out to be right on the money.
On to the Skid Row show at the Starland March 31................
First a quick picture I took from my Iphone. I took a bunch and they came out like shit, maybe I need to learn how to use the damn thing.
Anyway, cool pic of Snake Sabo, as far as the show went.... They kicked ASS! They had a great set list and were tight. They opened with Big Guns and went right into Piece of Me, the place went nuts and they were in control from there on in. They played every Skid song you could have wanted to hear, they even played three tunes from the ThickSkin cd that they recorded without Sebastian. If you haven't heard it, buy it, its great. Johnny Solinger does a great job on vocals and I would imagine he's not a big douche like Sebastian. I wish they would record another cd and tour more. They are way too good to be just playing a few shows a year. Anyway back to the show, Rachael took over the vocals on the Ramones cover Psycho Therapy which was amazing and I was surprised when they played Quicksand Jesus which as you know is a great fucking song. They closed it up with the expected 18 and Life and Youth Gone Wild. It was a great show and a great night. Anytime they play in the area.... I'm in.
