I watched Lemmy on That Metal Show last night. That dude is just the coolest motherfucker on the planet. A quick Lemmy story, last year I went to Atlantic City to see Lemmy at the House of Blues. I went down the night before with the wife and some friends. So it's getting late and i'm ready to hit the bed, plus i'm seriously tanked up. So as I walk up to the room I do a sweep of the slot machines. Why you ask? Well I know from watching Lemmy the movie that he loves the one arm bandits (slots machines). I also know he played the Starland Ballroom and would probably head straight down after show. I roll through all the slots and no luck, so I walk towards the elevator. Just as I turn the corner I see him playing the slots right near the walk through. I figured he would have picked a few machines out of site, but I guess at 3 in the morning he figured what retard would be walking around trying to find him. He was sitting by himself so I walked over and started talking with him. He was totally cool and his assistant came over and took a picture of the great Lemmy and myself.
I don't think I look nearly as wrecked in the picture as I really was. Lemmy you are one cool mother fucker.
By the way he killed it the next night, easily one of the best Motorhead shows I had seen and I've seen a lot of them.
A few notes:
* I finished the Zakk Wylde book and it was classic. A ton of stories of drinking, puking and shitting. Also can't forget the penis pumps. A funny thing is Zakk refers to his guitars as fiddles. I thought that was funny so when I told my wife I was going to practice my fiddle she just looked at me like I was a fucking idiot. I get that look a lot.
* The new Accept cd is out, Stalingrad. I'll have to pick this up. Loved Blood of the Nations. Caught them live when they opened for Overkill. Great show.
